This Wednesday to Sunday event was our contribution to the SA History Month - 351 visitors attended.
'Yarn bombing' meets wedding celebration! The display started with picket fence beanies and post box covering. Inside, visitors were treated to an array of knitted and crocheted items. A 'bicycle built for two' was on display in the Post Office.
Wedding items ranged from floral arrangements to a six tiered wedding cake and 'bottles' of bubbly. An actual knitted wedding dress used by one of our volunteers was on display. Displays extended to the gardens, in particular with a beautiful hand crafted dandelion on the lawn.
Many items were for sale, including a range of hand knitted tea cosies - from traditional to humerous, and including the pot! Various toddler and doll clothes were available.
Eaters of scones and cream were also treated to a sugared almond!
